World Biomaterials Congress Call for Volunteers

Dear friends and colleagues,

as many of you are aware, there is the upcoming World Biomaterial Congress occurring in Montreal in a few short months. With thousands of people coming to attend, we will need many volunteers. The combined CBS student chapters will be organizing activities for students during the day and in the evening, and we will be in need of some assistance.

Many of you have already expressed an interest in helping, which is greatly appreciated. For those that would like to help, please fill in the following form that will give us your availability, and we can then place you where you will be most needed.

IMPORTANT – There are two types of volunteers at WBC2016, with each one handling different type of tasks and requiring different application processes:

1) Volunteers for social activities (organized by the CBS student chapters). You can apply by completing the form mentioned above.

2) Volunteers for the conference itself, who will handle tasks such as registration support, direction and technical assistance (under the supervision of the WBC organizing committee). To express your interest in becoming a volunteer for the conference, please write an email to: volunteers.wbc2016@gmail.com

We thank you all for your support, and making all of this possible!

Seminar on Molecular Diagnosis – Wrapup

Dear friends,

Our seminar on Molecular Diagnosis happened last week and was a great success.  We had a very nice turnout to attend the two excellent presentations by Profs Alexis Vallée-Bélisle and Prof. Matt Kinsella.  These were followed by a networking and poster session with free drinks and pizza.

We hope that you all had a good time, and wish to see you again soon at our next event!
